Kathy is always ahead of everything for our ladies.

She is always on top of making sure we gather the supplies for birthdays, meals, or parties. She is always making our house into a home. She goes above and beyond to make sure our ladies opinions are heard and accounted for. She goes beyond the extent of just doing her job. She does her all to make sure they are happy, safe and cared for. She recognizes and accommodates their wants and needs before they can even ask.

Kathy is a pleasure to work with, and the ladies always love to have her on shift!

🎓 Professional Certification Milestones:
• Ally Hernandez, DSP at Pidone IRA – A huge congratulations to Ally for successfully achieving her DSP-II professional certification with the NADSP E-Badge Academy! 👏

• Terrel Moore, RPM at Alison IRA – Formerly of Wiccoppee IRA (where he earned his DSP-III), Terrel recently transitioned to "this side of the river" and immediately jumped into pursuing his Frontline Supervisor professional certification with NADSP's E-Badge Academy. He completed the requirements with fervor and swift diligence! Terrel is a truly conscientious and dedicated professional. 🏆

🦸‍♂️ Quarterly Superhero Lottery Winner:
• Shiann Winecoff, Glasco – Congratulations to Shiann for winning this quarter's lottery! Shiann was nominated for Supporting Summer Fun, doing an amazing job researching, coordinating, and executing unforgettable activities tailored to the ladies' personal interests and hobbies.

From organizing two beautiful steamboat lunch trips to Lake George (complete with village retail therapy and dessert!) to planning a highly anticipated day at the Dutchess County Fair, Shiann makes "the best day ever" happen. She has also coordinated recent trips to the Bronx Zoo, the Museum of Natural History, and several aquariums. Thank you, Shiann, for taking the initiative to ensure every detail—from medical needs to pure happiness—is covered! ❤️

Small change, big impact! MyTown Marketplace in Rosendale and Stone Ridge raised over $3,700 for Brookside School’s new adaptive playground through their register round-up campaign throughout August—all from customers rounding up their grocery purchases!

As the fall season kicks into full swing, we are also heading into another budget year, meaning it is more important now than ever to understand what the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) system needs.

This year, we are calling for a 3.4% Targeted Inflationary Increase, a CareForce Wage Investment, and the restoration of the Healthcare Enhancement Program.

Together, these investments will help providers retain skilled staff, keep up with rising costs and health care expenses, and ensure that people with I/DD can continue to receive the services and supports they rely on.
