The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the 8 Recovery Principles. This experience allows us to “be changed.” We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. We become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our lives problems. Recovery happens in connection. Sometimes the best way to strengthen recovery is simply to spend time with people who understand the journey.

Join Find Your Adventure on September 19 at 11:00 AM for a hike at Piney Falls State Natural Area. This is a chance for people in recovery to connect, have fun, build healthy relationships, and experience something new together.

We’re excited to partner with Living Waters Outdoors for this adventure!

This month, we celebrate the strength of people in recovery, the families and friends who walk beside them, and the communities that make recovery possible.

Recovery happens every day. It happens when someone asks for help. When someone shows up. When a door opens. When a community chooses connection over judgment.

💙💚 What is a CPRS? And why does peer support matter? 💚💙

At Align9, we believe that lived experience can be a powerful part of the recovery journey. One way that people use their own experiences to support others is through becoming a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS).

A CPRS is someone with lived experience of recovery who has received specialized training to support others as they navigate their own recovery journey. Peer Recovery Specialists can offer encouragement, understanding, hope, resources, and—most importantly—the reminder that you are not alone.

Peer support is about meeting people where they are, sharing hope, building connections, and helping others recognize their own strengths. 🤝💙

This September, peers from across Tennessee will have an opportunity to connect, learn, and grow at the All Peer Conference: Healing Happens Here, bringing together CPRS, CPRS-J, CFSS, and CYAPS from West, Middle, and East Tennessee.

Tonight at First Baptist Church Celebrate Recovery, we will continue our journey with Lesson 14: READY—learning how to become willing to let God make the changes He wants to make in our lives.

A special thank-you to Grace Community Church for volunteering to provide tonight’s meal and music! We are so grateful for your generosity, your time, and your heart for serving others.

🍽️ Meal begins at 5:30 PM
🎶 Large Group begins at 6:00 PM

Directions: Please park in the back parking lot and enter through the atrium doors. Continue straight to the end of the hallway, turn left, and we are in the last room on the left.

If you smell food, you’re headed in the right direction—just follow your nose! 😊

Come hungry, bring a friend, and join us for an evening of food, fellowship, worship, and recovery. Everyone is welcome!
