Saha Health welcomes Dr. Chaiya Sherman!

Dr. Sherman is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with over 20 years of experience in holistic and integrative healthcare. She earned her Doctorate (DAOM) from Bastyr University in 2019, with a clinical focus in pain management, following a two-year internship with the Acute Pain Service at Harborview Medical Center, where she treated trauma, post-surgical, and palliative care patients.

Dr. Sherman’s practice centers on fertility and women’s health, chronic pain, and psycho-emotional wellbeing. She has additional training in Sports and Orthopedic treatments, Cosmetic Acupuncture, and Fertility and Menopause conditions. Her path to acupuncture began years ago as a massage therapist, herbalist, and birth doula — work that continues to inform her approach to the birth cycle and to whole-person care.

A past president of the Washington Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine Association (WAEMA, 2022-2025), Dr. Sherman also teaches at Bastyr University and Seattle Institute for East Asian Medicine and remains an active advocate for the profession at the state and national level. She currently chairs the Webplatform Committee at the American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA) and brings a steady, unhurried, and deeply individualized approach to every patient relationship.

Zach has 24+ years of experience practicing acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbal medicine to treat complex cases, which haven’t responded to conventional treatment. After graduating from Wu Hsing Tao School of Acupuncture in Seattle, he pursued advanced training in pulse diagnosis, Chinese herbal medicine, injection therapies, functional medicine, and anatomy.

An author and educator, Zach leads workshops for practitioners and the community, helping people better understand their bodies and take an active role in their health.
