I was craving some old-school food-Cheeseburger Hamburger Helper
I’ve Veganized my own version. I took my oat burgers and crumbled them up in the pan with some Vidalia onions like you would ground beef, but without the cow. šŸ„
Then I took some cashew cheese and heated it up and mix it all together with some bowtie pasta! The results…Too much yum!🤤 Add some salad and I’m done!
No oil, No meat, No Cheese and I don’t miss any flavor! And people ask me what I eat! šŸ˜šŸ¤Ø Good food, that’s what! And that’s saying something for someone who used to be called the rat šŸ€ as a child because I loved cheese šŸ§€ so much!
It’s never too late to make a change that will make a difference on your body. Don’t knock it till you try it.šŸ˜‰

This guy met me at the gate! 🐢
You could tell by the track in the wet grass that he had traveled all the way up from the pond down below in the valley. Please be kind to turtles as they move because they will not hurt you!
Just leave them be and let them go their way. This guy was at least a foot wide and a foot and a half long!

Thought some of you folks would be interested in these simple DIY tick repellents. I’m not sure of their length of effectiveness, but the information is good.
I make a tick and bug repellent spray that works if anyone would like to purchase it this tick season. 😊

This could be the most important thing that you see us post! Its an epidemic this year, and these things are as lethal as a venomous snake in the wrong senerio! Please not only read it, but share it! Make sure we get the word out about these tics and the disease they carry!

It's summer! Time for camping, hiking and getting outside to play. Don't let those pesky annoying ticks stop you. Here's how with a simple homemade solution!

Repellent for your pets:

For pets, add 1 cup of water to a spray bottle, followed by 2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Ticks hate the smell and taste of vinegar, and will be easily be repelled by this ingredient alone. Then, add two spoonfuls of vegetable or almond oil, which both contain sulfur (another natural tick repellent).

To make a repellent that will also deter fleas, mix in a few spoonfuls of lemon juice, citrus oil, or peppermint oil, any of which will repel ticks and fleas while also creating a nicely scented repellent. Spray onto the pet's dry coat, staying away from sensitive areas including eyes, nose, mouth, and ge****ls. When outdoors for an extended period, spray this solution on two to three times per day.

For you and your family:

In a spray bottle, mix 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and 1 cup of water. To make a scented solution so you do not smell like bitter vinegar all day, add 20 drops of your favorite essential oil.

Eucalyptus oil is a calm, soothing scent that also works as a tick repellent, while peppermint and citrus oils give off a strong crisp scent that also repel ticks.

After mixing the solution, spray onto clothing, skin, and hair before going outdoors. Reapply every four hours to keep ticks at bay, and examine your skin and hair when back inside to make sure no ticks are on the body.

If you have ever shared anything, please click share on this! WE must get the word spread about the dangers of Ticks and how to avoid them!

Raised bed update! So far it has been worthwhile. My only complaint is because of using Compost which is cow and horse ļæ¼manure, it grows a lot of little grass sprouts in it and you keep having to take your glove and get rid of all the grass seedlings that pop up. It’s easy enough and I’m hoping it’ll get better as time goes on and I won’t have to do it as often, but that’s why you’ll see some grass in the beds. It’s nothing to take over, but this is my broccoli and red leaf lettuce bed.
The Marigold’s and the peppermint at each end keeps the critters bugs 🐜at bay.

Blueberries 🫐 are coming! Had to net them so that hopefully I get more than the birds.
