Decorating the perfect nursery.

Spending countless hours researching the best baby gear - car seats and strollers.

Take a second to pause and take a breath

Make sure you’re not so busy trying to make a perfect life that you forget to enjoy the little moments

Stay present for the little details that can be overlooked and then missed

The newborn scrunch. The little fingers. The little coos and smiles. The newborn snuggles.

And don’t feel guilt if you feel too overwhelmed to slow down and experience these moments. Lean on your village or build your village 🤍

During pregnancy, birth, and postpartum there are so many choices to make, but one of the most impactful choices? Who you choose to surround yourself with 🤍

Building your dream team is about strengthening and building relationships with the people you trust and love- your partner, family, friends, providers, perinatal professionals, etc

I love to help families prepare through reflection, education, making plans, etc and at the end of the day it all comes down to who you have by your side when things feel intense

For some people, it’s a simple answer of who your village is. For others who may live far from family or not have a big community, it’s important to know that it’s okay if you need to build your village during pregnancy 🤍

Pregnancy is a time of building your village and also setting healthy boundaries and expectations as new parents - it strengthens the muscles you’ll use throughout parenting

A simple boundary to consider? Don’t tell everyone when your contractions are starting because your phone will be blowing up with notifications like “is baby here yet?”

If you do want to tell people, talk with your support person about who is updating them, how often, with what info, when you’ll want visitors, etc
