βοΈPatient Highlight: Miles Rosa βοΈ
Β
βTwo weeks after my 48th birthday in 2025, I suffered a complete rotator cuff tear in my right shoulder. Up until that point, I had been training for Murph and feeling good. My surgery took place on May 13, 2025, and the initial recovery process was painful. With God, and my wife, Sophia, by my side, I had more good days than bad. After being released by the KOCβs occupational therapist, I knew I needed a rehabilitation regimen specifically tailored to my long-term recovery goals that Physio Lab offers.β¨β¨Raine had previously worked with me on recovery and maintenance techniques for overtraining, so trusting her with my rotator cuff rehabilitation felt like a natural decision. I genuinely appreciate her approach. She takes the time to have conversations, understand her clients, and build a real connection. Sheβs transparent about the process, clearly communicates the game plan, and explains what to expect moving forward. Because sheβs attentive and receptive, Raine knows when to take a more measured approach and when to introduce more dynamic methods.β¨β¨There were days when I told her I felt completely drained or simply didnβt want to face the discomfort that comes with recovering from a major surgery. I often thought back to October 2024, when I was conducting Search and Rescue operations in the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina, compared to now, when I could barely raise my arm without pain. Raine recognized the moments when I needed to talk through those struggles and picked me up to keep moving. The psychological support component of physical therapy is imperative to the overall success of a clientβs recovery journey. Physio Lab gets it.β¨β¨On May 25th 2026, Memorial Day, I completed Murph, RXβd, with my plate carrier on to properly honor the fallen US servicemen and women of this great country.β¨β¨Thank you Raine, and Physio Lab!β
This is our βwhy.β π Weβre so proud of your perseverance & weβre celebrating right along with you, Miles! πͺπ₯
