As Dean Niederhauser concludes her journey here at the College of Nursing, we would like to share and reflect on her dedication and hard work these past 15 years.

Under her next-level leadership, the college has grown in size, research, community relations. In appreciation, the college presented Niederhauser with a portrait that will be housed in the Dean's Suite, a painting of the UT Medical Center College of Nursing Building, the naming of the Dean Victoria Page Niederhauser Student Commons, as well as the the Dr. Victoria Page Niederhauser Endowed Faculty Fund for Nursing Excellence.

Dean Niederhauser's leadership has helped shape the future for generations of Vol nurses, and we wish her well on the next step in her journey.

The University of Tennessee College of Nursing is pleased to welcome Dr. Vinciya Pandian as its next dean.

Dr. Pandian joins the college from Penn State University, where she serves as associate dean for graduate education and professor of nursing in the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing. She brings extensive experience in nursing education, research, and academic leadership, along with a distinguished record of advancing patient safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovation in clinical practice and education.

As the college continues to build on its momentum and impact, Dr. Pandian’s leadership will help advance our mission. We are excited for the vision, expertise, and energy she will bring to our community when she begins her role on July 1.
