Region 2 EMS Directors Association The Region II EMS Directors Association represents a 16 county area of beautiful East Tennessee.

The Tennessee Region II EMS (R2EMS) Directors Association is composed of ambulance service, emergency medical service, rescue, aeromedical and hospital agencies located in East Tennessee. We are a not-for-profit organization chartered by the State of Tennessee. Besides this website, R2EMS directors sponsor a medical symposium providing up-to-date medical training for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physicians and other allied medical professionals.

Fellow Tennessee EMS providers,
With heavy hearts, TASA mourns the tragic loss of a dedicated Vanderbilt LifeFlight crew member in yesterday's helicopter crash in Wilson County.

This selfless hero, alongside two colleagues now fighting for their lives, embodied the courage and commitment that define our profession—rushing to save lives without hesitation.

In solidarity with the Vanderbilt LifeFlight family and all who serve in the skies over Tennessee, we urge every EMS agency, station, and service across our state to lower your flags to half-staff today and through this time of grief. Let this gesture stand as a beacon of respect, remembrance, and unwavering support for those who give everything for others.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, the injured crew, and the entire VUMC team. Together, we honor the fallen and lift up the living.
