I read this today and and felt led to post it. When life gets messy it’s often that people don’t live up to our expectations. Maybe in the end the answer is simple. We set our expectations on the worldly things. Put God first in everything you do and let him change your heart.

E – Embrace God’s timing
X – eXalt Him above outcomes
P – Pray with unwavering faith
E – Entrust every desire to Him
C – Choose contentment in all seasons
T – Trust His promises
A – Align with His will
T – Thank Him in advance
I – Increase in patience
O – Obey His Word
N – Nurture a grateful heart
S – Surrender control daily

The world constantly whispers, “You are the main character of your story.”
That life should bend around my plans, my timeline, my emotions, and my understanding.

But Scripture patiently and lovingly redirects my heart.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1 NIV

From the very first verse, the Bible makes it clear: God is the center.
Not me. That truth doesn’t diminish my worth, it restores my peace.
Because if God is the Author, I don’t have to carry the impossible weight of control. I don’t have to force outcomes, manipulate doors to open, or understand every chapter before I trust the story.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 NIV

My role was never perfection. My role is trust. I still get to show up. I still get to choose, to feel deeply, to grow faithfully. But now I walk with confidence knowing my life is held by Someone infinitely wiser, kinder, and more faithful than I could ever be.

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6 NIV

And honestly, I would rather rest inside God’s story than be exhausted trying to write my own.
✝️🙏❤️
