SDLAX Nutrition Program Smart Eats teaches children to learn that healthy food tastes good and is fun to prepare!

Smart Eats is a program of the nutrition office at the La Crosse School District in La Crosse, Wis. It is a long-term initiative to incorporate more fresh, locally grown produce into school nutrition programs, teach children that healthy food tastes good and is fun to prepare and help students develop healthy eating habits for life.

Southern Bluffs Elementary got a visit from our friends at Xceed Food Service Group and got to do some taste testing! The kids got to try lemon bread, maple biscuits, and pizza pockets! We sure had a lot of kids answer yes to the new items!
