AHNA serves as a bridge between conventional healthcare and complementary/alternative healing practices. As health care professionals, holistic nurses may integrate complementary and alternative modalities (CAM) into clinical practice to treat the whole person and view healing as a partnership between a person seeking treatment and their practitioner. Happy Nurses Week!

Black Bean Brownies Recipe
1 can black beans, drained/rinsed
1/3c. Cocoa
3 eggs
3T. Oil
1/2c. Sugar
1t. Stevia
1t. Baking powder
Pinch salt
1T. Vanilla
1/2c. Chocolate chips
1/2c. Nuts

Blend all except choc chips and nuts until smooth. Add choc chips and nuts and blend a few seconds. Bake in 8" square pan at 375° for 25-35 minutes or until the top is dry and starts to pull away from the edges. Sprinkle top with sugar.
