This picture hits me a little differently. ❤️
Two years ago, I knew I needed to make changes. But I also knew I didn’t need another quick fix, another impossible plan, or someone making me feel bad about where I was.
I needed support. I needed tools. And I needed time.
Here’s what I’ve learned: change doesn’t happen overnight—but neither did gaining the weight or becoming unhealthy.
It took YEARS for me to get to where I was. So why did I expect myself to undo all of it in a few weeks?
Little by little, I started making my health a priority. I found tools that helped me, surrounded myself with support, and kept going—even when I wasn’t perfect.
And yes, the weight loss has been amazing. But what means even more to me is how I FEEL.
My hands don’t feel swollen and achy like they used to.
My knees don’t hurt like they did.
My body doesn’t feel constantly inflamed and uncomfortable.
I have more energy.
I move easier.
And most importantly, I feel like ME again.
Obesity is about so much more than the number on the scale. It is associated with increased risks for type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, joint problems, sleep apnea, fatty liver disease, and several cancers.
That’s why I’ve become so passionate about this.
This isn’t about being skinny.
It isn’t about chasing perfection.
It’s about HEALTH.
I want to help people who are looking in the mirror thinking, “I know I need to do something, but I don’t even know where to start.”
Start small. Find support. Find the right tools for YOU. Give yourself time. And please don’t give up because it isn’t happening fast enough.
The woman I was two years ago deserved love and support—not judgment. She was the one brave enough to start. ❤️
And the woman I am today?
She’s incredibly thankful she did.
