Dear diary,

Its been a long time but I couldn't let this go. Im so FU***NG THANKFUL for my community.

When I moved home 5 years ago, I felt like a failure. Isolated in big city living it was crushing me, and I returned to my small home town.

THANK GOD I was caught by friends, family, and community members. Whether I knew them as an adolescent or met as a full grown adult, the security of those around me have saved me so much.

It really is those little things that we take for granted. So ill keep working earnestly, appreciate the lil glimmers and be divinely protected by the love of us. Ubuntu

Last week of class and we tabata'd our way all the way down to the Barista for a celebratory breakfast!!

I am in awe of all the accomplishments we made over the past 10 weeks! Just a few to highlight would be:
✨️ cutting 10+minutes from a routine walk
✨️ sticking to the consistent morning schedule
✨️ feeling strong and showing up for ourselves
✨️ spending quality time with others

Next session starts on August 17th! Reach out so ya dont miss out😉 😉

Dear Diary,

This past weekend was filled with so much magic and love, its hard to believe this is the life I'm blessed with!

Saturday morning I manned the recycling drop off in LJ and am so thankful to see so many fellow members, get to chat about life and give a good squeeze or two. I'm also thankful for those who keep me safe♻️♻️

Sunday was for church and the family. I was able to meet about upcoming kids program, enjoy an amazing concert with my grandma and agree with the Fam about signing up for a CSA 🍑🍅🌽🌶️

There's no way I can be sad, especially with it being the best month of the year! 🥰

Dear Diary,

Last week I was having some coffee with my dad and grandma. Let me preface this with saying, I've always questioned how much of my 'hippy' opinions I shared with both of them being devout 'republicans'

Well dad started off a conversation about how his insurance company was running a food drive ( the same one I brought stuff and got a free pizza from). He was able to take those can goods +$500 dollars worth of food to two local food banks. 💰 💶

What made me slightly surprised was how he made sure to spend that money at the local grocery store in the next town over! He wanted to make sure he was spending that money where it would stay in the valley 🌄

I praised him and was thankful for that thought. Comes to find out, he has been listening! And regardless of what label you identify with, there's people out there who love you for you. I love my dad 💙

Yay for school to be winding down! Yet, here are more projects coming along the way😁 I have been so lucky to be able to start working with the International Students at Otero College!

Not only do I get to share the culture and knowledge of our community, but it gives a great opportunity for locals to explore other cultures as well. So here it is...

We are inviting families, entrepreneurs, sportsters and fellow creatives to consider participating in the Friendly Family Program. This will give the opportunity to meet people from all over the world who have travelled to the Arkansas Valley! 🌏
