Around 1999, Mr. Soto met Barry Carter and began studying Barry Carter's work alongside David Hudson's process and the research of Lawrence Gardner.
Through his own investigations, Mr. Soto concluded that many of the existing processes produced gold nanoparticles bonded in a lye-based hydroxide solution that also exhibited paramagnetic properties. Based on his understanding, he believed these nanoparticles could accumulate in organs such as the kidneys, liver, and pancreas, raising concerns about their long-term safety.
Over the years, Mr. Soto developed his own proprietary method, occasionally sharing ideas with Barry Carter. This led to the invention of the Atomic Particle Extraction Process (APEP)—a process designed to extract atomic particles from noble metals and bond them directly to water molecules without adding chemicals from start to finish.
According to Mr. Soto, the resulting particles are fundamentally different from nanoparticles and do not accumulate in the body because they are naturally eliminated during the body's normal regeneration processes.
Mr. Soto further states that APEP-derived products exhibit many of the characteristics traditionally attributed to monatomic (ORMUS/ORMEs) materials, while avoiding the presence of heavy metal nanoparticles that he believes may contribute to the risk of heavy metal accumulation and toxicity associated with certain conventional preparations.
This is why APEP is different. Mr. Soto questioned whether prolonged exposure to nanoparticles may have contributed to the health problems experienced by some researchers, including Barry Carter and Lawrence Gardner. While this remains his personal hypothesis and has not been scientifically established, it motivated his commitment to developing a non-toxic alternative.
Mr. Soto states that APEP products are non-toxic and provide what he believes are the beneficial characteristics associated with monatomic materials while eliminating the concerns associated with heavy metal nanoparticle exposure. He further believes APEP technology represents an advancement over traditional nanoparticle colloidal gold, ORMUS, ORMES, and White Powder Gold (WPG).
