For this past Saturday’s monthly August walk, 31 of us and 2 canines walked nearly 2 miles at Laurel Springs Regional Park in La Plata!

We had 6 Walk Charles County first-timers and 3 first-timers to the park!

We met and gathered at the new mural, then wound our way through the woods and across the open grass fields.

Along the way, we noticed birds, mushrooms, and the sounds of summer all around us. And, as always, people who arrived as strangers left knowing a few more people.

It’s just a walk.

And somehow, it’s so much more. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out and made Saturday special. 🚶🏽‍♀️🌿

Did you take photos or video? Post them in the comments below 👇🏻 we’d love to see them!

The September walk is at the St. Charles Running Festival and you must register to attend. Details are in the event invitation in the first comment.
