Trick or Treat at New Moon today, 10-2! We are brewing a batch of organic cranberry orange tea for a complimentary treat, and be sure to enter our free drawing. Post shares, online reviews, and online orders will also earn you an entry.
Sip some soothing tea and afterwards, stroll around the town of La Plata to see all the creative scarecrows created by local businesses and organizations- they are so fun!

At New Moon we have recently harvested Tulsi and Mullein in our apothecary, as well as 60 other bulk herbs, organic and ready to support your health and wellbeing.

Loose leaf teas capture the full essence of the brew, are super economical, reduce waste, and contain no micro-plastics that some teabags contain.
Our wee wellness shop is a wealth of goods in a small space, with two Clinical Herbalists here as your guide. We are open each Wednesday 2-6, and Fridays 10-2.

The wet, gloomy day suggests it’s time for tea! Ever wonder why the Irish drink so much tea? It’s the perfect antidote to cold and damp. Come explore New Moon’s new tea selections, sold by ounce or less, so you can build a tea cabinet with a nice variety quite affordable. Tea is full of antioxidants which reduce inflammation, keep our cells resilient, and even promote healthy teeth and gums. Drinking green tea regularly can help with healthy cholesterol levels, and a healthy weight. The antioxidants and mild stimulating quality also supports brain health and sharpens the intellect. What’s not to love about tea? Pop in today 2-6 and sip on some tea! 🫖

As the first hint of Fall approaches, it’s time to stock up on tea! Tea, in whatever form of Camellia sinensis you choose, is rich in antioxidants, supports digestion, a healthy immune system, energizes us, clarifies the mind, and reduces inflammation. So while I adore herbs , I’m also a huge believer and imbiber of this revered plant!
Bulk teas allow for a more thorough brewing experience, frees one up to customize the strength and mixture of teas, and has no risk of micro-plastics found in some teabags. Plus, the price difference is huge- reduced packaging and the freedom to buy small quantities. These are packaged in compostable rice paper bags, but feel free to bring your own container!
We’re open for retail most Wednesdays 2-6, and Fridays 10-2, so come in and see for yourself. We also are happy to ship to your door.
