Change comes in levels, usually too big for us to actually feel as realistic. Especially when we think of our dreams, we feel like the next step is actually the one we should be taking 50 steps from now.
Yes applied fantasy is about fantasizing the most ridiculous and outrageous way we would live our lives, but the other side of it is the most real, how can we apply our fantasy to our everyday life right now?
Level one: Using what we already have. It's usually things that we've bought that we don't actually use on a regular basis because they're too special.
Level two: Changing the small things. Sometimes starting with upgrading something small that you use every day can make your brain register that change as a good thing.
Level three: What feel like more major changes. Big investments in things that signal to yourself you're changing your identity. Furniture, cars, houses, sometimes it's prepping and planning and sometimes it's just 'ready, set, jump'.
But those level three changes will be harder if you don't practice the level one changes.
Look around in your life to find the little joys, the little rituals that allow you to raise your quality of life without actually changing anything.
If you need help with identifying the things that are already special in your life, that's where a coaching conversation can help.
