This little girl had no idea how life would come full circle.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time around my mom’s work. After being a homemaker for over 20 years, she decided to start a new chapter and became an aesthetician.
She worked out of a salon, eventually building her own business, private labeling skincare products, and developing a very loyal clientele. She even had many celebrity clients.
But what I remember most wasn’t the skincare.
It was the conversations. I saw she left an impact on other women.
I would sit around the salon after school listening to women talk about life, relationships, and confidence. My mom had a gift for listening and giving advice. Women left their treatment feeling supported, empowered, and a little better about themselves.
She was also deeply interested in holistic health. In the 80’s she studied acupuncture and always believed in a more natural, whole-body approach to wellness. Even though she never practiced acupuncture professionally, that mindset was simply part of how I remember my childhood. Herbs instead of medicine.
At the time I had no idea how much of that I was absorbing.
Looking back now, it’s amazing how parallel our paths became.
Today I spend my days working with women, supporting them and helping them feel confident in their own skin. And together with my husband we’ve built a practice that blends aesthetics with functional and regenerative medicine.
Different generation. Different tools.
But a very similar heart behind the work.
My mom was a strong woman who raised three strong daughters.
And somehow, all these years later, I realize I’m walking a path that looks a lot like the one she started.
