what to look out for when scheduling with a professional that cares about your safety more than financial gain 😊
just because someone says they’ve been piercing for 10+ years doesn’t mean they have 10+ years of professional experience.
if someone pierced for a few years, stopped, worked other jobs, and then came back to it—that is not the same as consistent, real experience in a professional studio.
and that difference matters for your safety.
this industry requires ongoing education, proper training, and working in a clean, licensed environment that follows current safety standards.
not just doing it here and there or talking about it online.
here are a few things you should actually be asking before booking:
• how long have you worked in a professional studio?
• what material is your jewelry? (implant grade titanium is standard) ASTM F-136
• do you use sterile, single-use needles?
• do you use an autoclave for sterilization?
• do you pierce based on anatomy?
• what aftercare do you recommend?
• can i see healed work?
at the end of the day, this is your body.
make sure you’re choosing someone with real, consistent experience and proper training—not just a timeline or social media presence. 💕
