Acadian Ambulance recently launched a communication tool to aid first responders in communicating with their nonverbal patients which was inspired by a crash that occurred in January with a 14-year-old Autistic teen.

April is Autism Acceptance Month and we’d like to give you a friendly reminder that Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium, and Audubon Insectarium are sensory inclusive. We want everyone to have a fun day but know that certain things, can make some feel uncomfortable. If you or someone you love needs extra sensory support, we have KultureCity Sensory Bags available to loan for free at the Zoo Info Booth and Aquarium/Insectarium lobby so everyone can enjoy their visit!
