As some of you may know, our lovely artist Lex has decided to step away from tattooing and move home to receive some much needed rest. 

“I’ve decided to take a step back from tattooing to focus on some health issues that have intensified lately. 
Most notably, I injured my shoulder the week before the car crashed into Be True and have not been able to tattoo since then. 
Having the support of my family is crucial right now as I work through everything, so I decided to move home to Baton Rouge, heal my body, and restructure my life going forward. 
This is not the end of my tattoo career, but a much needed pause. I plan on guest spotting in Lafayette once I’m feeling better and already miss everyone at Be True/Instant so much.” -Lex

We will miss Lex very much while she is away but we are excited to see her heal and grow through this difficult time. Send her your best energy and keep an eye out for any announcements. ✨❤️

Hello everyone.

Today, Saturday June 28th a vehicle crosses all 4 lanes of Johnston St and crashed through our building. The vehicle destroyed the entire right side of our shop and unfortunately struck our beloved counter staff Chase. Chase is currently in the hospital recovering from his injuries and we ask all of you to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

In the mean time we will have to pause all piercing services and all of our artist will transfer to our sister shop until further notice.

We ask for patience during this time as we begin to sort through the rubble and figure out our next step.

Keep an eye out as we will plan on hosting fundraising events to help pay for Chases medical bills.

We will continue to keep all of you updated on our next steps.

Our crew is SUPER excited for our True Hearts event this Saturday! We headed out on the town during art walk to hand out flyers to the community and share information about our event. 🎉 True Hearts - Charity Event 🎉

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and we’re trying to make a difference so join us on April 19th, at Be True Tattoo and Piercings for our True Hearts event!

From 12-9pm, our artist will provide flash designs at a discount price. 100% of proceeds made from these designs will be donated to Hearts of Hope.

What is Hearts of Hope? 

Hearts of Hope's Children's Advocacy Center is a non-profit agency that responds daily to children who are affected by abuse, and witness violent crimes in our community by providing education, advocacy and empowerment services and programs. As well as providing mental health and medical services to victims and their families.
