I finished this pastel drawing today, 18" x 36" on gessoed cardboard. It is a scene from the last place I really felt at home. This weathered fence did its best to hold the line between my Father's yard and that of Gramma. The other Dave and I jumped and on occasion fell over it too many times to count.

I recently read Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie again. The story compelled me to make a set of animals that could not be lost, stolen or broken by the reckless actions of others. The obvious answer was the totem beasts worn in the skins of collectors of the finest art.

I finished this acrylic painting last night! The surface is one of those less than spectacular and dead common prints that a person might give as a gift when they are in a hurry or do not care. It said "life is better when we're together" or some nonsense. I fixed it.
