It might be the trend, but the work behind pediatric speech-language pathology is incredibly important.

Pediatric SLPs support some of the most essential skills a child develops, including communicating their needs, safely eating and drinking, developing speech and language, and building the oral motor skills needed for everyday function.

Sometimes the concerns are obvious. Other times they look like difficulty transitioning to solids, frequent coughing or gagging with meals, limited foods or textures, unclear speech, delayed language, or challenges using the tongue, lips, and jaw effectively.

Early identification matters. When we understand why a child is struggling, we can provide support that addresses the underlying function, not just the symptom.

Speech therapy is so much more than working on words. 🤍

When you’ve experienced healthcare where your providers actually communicate with each other, it’s hard to go back, am I right?

Our goal isn’t just to treat one concern at a time. It’s to look at the whole child and connect the dots. Primary care, lactation, myofunctional care, physical therapy and other areas of support can overlap more than most families realize.

Instead of parents having to explain the same story over and over, track down records, or figure out which provider they should call, our interdisciplinary team can collaborate and help determine what your child needs next.

You can always explore your options, but there’s something pretty darn special about having a team that already knows your family, knows your child, and knows who to call when something comes up. 🤍

And yes… we’ll still answer when you call 3 seconds later. 😂
