The connection between feeling your glutes and “driving through the big toe mound” (the ball of the big toe / first metatarsal head) is a powerful example of how the body works as an interconnected kinetic chain.
Foot stability = hip stability.
It gives a solid platform to push from, and without the intrinsic foot, muscles working, the foot collapses, the pelvis shifts and this creates a poor feedback loop from the ground, up.
In this upcoming glute workshop, we’re going to be exploring all of the internal constraints that prevent the sensation of your glutes firing, address them, and then build strength together over the following three weeks!
