This weekend at Camp Kamassa in Mississippi was something I will carry with me for a lifetime. ❤️
I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to be surrounded by such an incredible community of survivors, caregivers, professionals, advocates, and friends. The connections made, the stories shared, the laughter, the encouragement, and the memories created this weekend were truly unforgettable.
There is something so powerful about bringing people together who genuinely understand the journey of brain injury — and this weekend reminded me exactly why community matters so deeply. Watching two states come together as one family through the collaboration of Brain Injury Association of Louisiana/United Spinal Association Louisiana and Brain Injury Association of Mississippi was absolutely beautiful. The love, support, acceptance, and unity present throughout the weekend was something special to witness and be a part of.
I am incredibly humbled and appreciative for every conversation, every lesson learned, every hug, every smile, and every moment shared. God was truly present and moving within all of us this weekend, and I feel so blessed to have experienced it alongside such amazing people.
Thank you to BIALA and BIAMA for creating a space where individuals impacted by brain injury can feel seen, supported, empowered, and loved. Thank you for the work you do and for reminding all of us that none of us walk this journey alone.
My heart is so full. Until next year. 💚🧠
Thank you Mississippi's Toughest Kids Foundation- Camp Kamassa!!
