I don’t agree with “It’s not supposed to hurt”. Here’s what I actually see in practice….

💫 In the first few weeks, some pain when baby first latches isn’t always a sign of a problem, especially if it….
- Improves within 30 seconds after baby latches
- Doesn’t come with ni**le damage (cracks or bleeding is NOT ok)

💫 Some ni**les need time to acclimate to breastfeeding. It may hurt at first, but should get better overtime.

What’s NOT normal 🚫
🚫 Pain lasting throughout the feeding
🚫 Ni**le damage
🚫 Sudden pain in the middle of a feeding
