This morning after my workout, I stopped at one of my favorite coffee spots. It's a retrofitted 1984 Volkswagen Westfalia Vanagon turned into a mobile coffee shop that pops up around various spots on the South Shore and puts out some amazing coffee.

Each cup of coffee comes with a sticker affixed to the lid offering some additional morning joy and inspiration; an added bonus to the goodness inside the cup. Today's sticker on the top of my cup read, "Good Roads Ahead."

We all encounter detours, construction zones and unexpected bumps along the way. In business and in life, the road isn’t always smooth.

There are days when progress feels slow. Goals seem farther away than they did yesterday. Challenges appear around every corner.

But one thing I’ve learned is that difficult stretches of road don’t last forever.

The key is to keep moving forward, even when the destination might not be fully clear.

The road you’re on today may not be easy, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t leading somewhere great.

Stay focused. Stay patient. Trust the process.

There are good roads ahead.

It was a scorcher out there on the road today! Running past Sugar Hill Dairy had visions of ice cream popping into the mind while out on the run.

What’s your favorite ice cream to have and bonus points for recommending your favorite spot. For me, a good maple walnut or coconut Almond Joy are my faves!

This morning’s run was a reminder that life can change in an instant.

As I headed out, the sun broke through the clouds, lighting up the morning sky. It felt like one of those moments when everything is lining up and the path ahead seems clear.

But just as quickly as it appeared, the sun disappeared behind the clouds and I found myself running through a downpour.

It made me think about how often life works the same way.

We all have difficult days. Days when challenges seem to pile up, plans fall apart and the clouds feel like they’re here to stay. But the beautiful thing about a bad day is that it only lasts 24 hours at most. Every sunrise brings a new opportunity, a fresh perspective and another chance to move forward.

The lesson isn’t that every day will be sunny. It’s that conditions can change faster than we expect, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. What matters is that we keep moving, knowing that neither the sunshine nor the storm lasts forever.

If you’re having a tough day, keep going. The sun will shine through again.

And if you’re enjoying a sunny season right now, appreciate it, because every moment is worth embracing.

Keep running your race, no matter what the forecast says.

Today I will be loving, kind and peaceful.

Do you have a ton of race medals lying around the house? Sure, we all love hanging onto those prized medals from the big races that we have done but if you're like me you probably have some 5K medals of lesser significance hanging around and with Sports Medal Recycling you can put those medals to good use.
