I am a nine time marathon finisher (Boston [2], Buffalo [2], New York City, Hartford, Marine Corps, Cleveland and Providence [virtual]), have run several half-marathons and countless other races of a variety of distances. The USDA has announced its plan to rescind Roadless Rule protections on 45 million acres of National Forests. Roadless areas are where Americans hike, climb, bike, paddle, ski, hunt, and explore — and rolling back the Rule would allow new roads and large-scale logging in some of our most wild backcountry areas.
