Local Funeral Home Owner Covers Services For Eight Children Killed In Shreveport Tragedy

Shreveport, LA — A local funeral home owner is stepping in to support families impacted by the recent tragedy that claimed the lives of eight children in Shreveport.

Mr. Lynn Connor Jr. of THEE Precious Memories Mortuary confirmed to Love Shreveport-Bossier that he will cover the funeral home service expenses for all eight children.

Love Shreveport-Bossier also spoke with Mr. Lynn Connor Sr., who stated he is personally handling the funeral service costs to help ease the burden on the families.

“Yes… I’m taking care of the expenses—the funeral home part, not the cemetery. I’m just trying to help them,” Mr. Connor said.

While funeral service expenses will be covered, families are still expected to face cemetery-related costs.

The children have been identified as Jayla Elkins, 3; Shayla Elkins, 5; Kayla Pugh, 6; Layla Pugh, 7; Markaydon Pugh, 10; Sariahh Snow, 11; Khedarrion Snow, 6; and Braylon Snow, 5.

The gesture has been described as an effort to support families during an unimaginable time of loss.
