Broken Halo Reiki

Broken Halo Reiki When your spirit is broken, this is the quiet place to deeply rest, restore and remember who you are. I found Reiki in the middle of my Healthcare career.

Through gentle Reiki your nervous system softens and your energy realigns. Reconnecting with your true essence, blooming into your full potential. I know what it means to experience devastating loss and emotional trauma. Reiki helped me release the pain, chaos and confusion and once again, I returned to the effervescent joy of life. That profound experience fueled my desire to study Reiki and provide unconditional, compassionate care to others.

Sunday Renewal 🌿

Healing can change the way you see yourself.

For a while, you may know yourself mostly by what you’ve survived—by the strength it took to keep going, the ways you learned to protect yourself, or the pieces of you that became quiet along the way.

But there is more to you than survival.

Renewal is rediscovering the person underneath all of that.

What brings you joy?
What feels peaceful now?
What do you want?
What matters to you?
Who are you becoming?

You don’t have to have all of those answers today.

Sometimes renewal begins simply by becoming curious about yourself again—and trusting that God is still at work in the parts of your story you are learning to reclaim.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to think resilience meant being strong no matter what.

I see it differently.

Resilience is the ability to adapt, recover, and find your way forward after difficult experiences.

In my work, I value the quieter side of resilience—reclaiming your voice, honoring what you need, and rediscovering who you are beyond what you’ve been through.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about reconnecting with the parts of you that may have been quiet for far too long. 🌿

Friday Self Care🌿

When was the last time you did something nice for your body that had absolutely nothing to do with fixing it?

Not because it needed to be smaller.
Stronger.
More productive.
More flexible.
Less tired.

Just because it carries you through your life.

Do the face mask.
Stretch because it feels good.
Make something cold and delicious to drink.
Step outside and feel the sun on your face for a few minutes.
Change into the soft clothes early.
Prop your feet up before everything is finished.

Sometimes self-care is simply treating your body like it belongs to someone you love. 💛

Wednesday • Life Light ✨

This week at Broken Halo Reiki, we’re talking about Learning to Feel Safe Again.

Sometimes safety has to be relearned.

You can be in a calm room and still feel tense.

You can be around kind people and still find it hard to trust.

You can finally have a quiet moment and still feel like you need to stay alert.

That is why healing can take time.

Your mind and body are learning what steadiness feels like.

They learn it through consistency.

Through people who mean what they say.

Through routines you can count on.

Through moments that begin to feel less threatening and more familiar.

Little by little, your system starts to recognize:

I don’t have to stay on guard all the time.

Tuesday • Essential Oil Wisdom 🌿

This week at Broken Halo Reiki, we’re talking about Learning to Feel Safe Again.

Here’s something we don’t talk about enough with aromatherapy:

More is not always better.

After trauma, the nervous system can be especially sensitive to sound, touch, light—and sometimes scent.

A fragrance that feels comforting to one person may feel overwhelming to someone else.

That’s why I believe in starting gently.

🌿 Use less oil rather than more. Consider using a rollerball instead of diffuser.

🌿 Keep the scent soft enough that it doesn’t take over the room.

🌿 Give yourself permission to turn the diffuser off.

🌿 Pay attention to how your body responds—not how you think you should respond.

Comfort matters more than intensity.

Monday • Gentle Heart 🌿💛

This week at Broken Halo Reiki: Learning to Feel Safe Again

I’ve been thinking a lot about how healing is not always about becoming stronger.

Sometimes it is about finally feeling safe enough to soften.

Safe enough to trust your own reactions.

Safe enough to believe that peace does not have to be temporary.

As a nurse, I was trained to pay attention to what the body is telling us. And the more I work with people carrying trauma, the more I see how much the body remembers.

That is why I care so deeply about creating a space where you do not have to perform, prove, shove, or push.

You can simply arrive as you are.

This week, we are going to talk about what safety can look like in everyday life—and how healing can begin when your mind and body no longer have to stay on guard all the time.
