A wound should get better over time, not worse. If healing seems slow or something doesn’t feel right, it may be time to have it checked.
Watch for warning signs like increased pain, redness, swelling, drainage, odor, warmth around the area, fever, or a wound that hasn’t improved after 2–4 weeks. These can all be signs that medical care is needed.
Early treatment can help prevent complications and support better healing outcomes.
