KRV Community we want your input on something important.
What are your thoughts on tiny home villages as a form of transitional housing?
In other communities, these programs often include:
• Small, individual living spaces for short-term stability
• On-site restrooms, showers, and shared community areas
• Support services like case management, mental health, and recovery support
• Job training and workforce development opportunities
• Clear expectations, structure, and accountability to help people transition into permanent housing
For comparison, you may have heard of places like the Bakersfield Navigation Center, which provides structured shelter with on-site services focused on helping people move into housing and employment. Tiny home villages are similar in purpose, but offer more private, individual living spaces instead of shared shelter environments.
We’re not announcing a project—just trying to have a real conversation and understand where our community stands.
