For universal health and healing, we recommend:

1. Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate) full body baths and foot and/or hand soaks

- For Baths and Soaks: Dissolving 1 to 2 cups of Epsom salt in a warm bath helps relax muscles and ease stress

- Foot or hand Soaks: Soaking feet in warm water with half a cup of salt helps soften calluses, soothe aches, and reduce swelling.

2. Plant medicine

3. Ayurvedic abhyanga self massage

4. Stretching, Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga Asana, meditation, Breathwork, sitting with it and letting it go

5. Contrast Therapy: using warm and cool water or temperatures intermittently to help stimulate circulation and flow

Ensure your electrolytes are balanced through hydration (water and oils) and nutrients.

The Main Electrolytes:

1. Sodium (Na⁺): Controls fluid balance, blood pressure, and supports nerve and muscle function.

2. Potassium (K⁺): Works with sodium to maintain fluid balance and supports heart rhythm and muscle action.

3. Chloride (Cl⁻): Helps maintain proper blood volume, blood pressure, and the body's pH balance.

4. Calcium (Ca²⁺): Builds strong bones and teeth while enabling muscle contraction, nerve signaling, and blood clotting.

5. Magnesium (Mg²⁺): Assists with energy production, muscle and nerve function, and blood pressure regulation.

6. Phosphate / Phosphorus (HPO₄²⁻): Works with calcium to form strong bones and teeth and aids cellular energy production.

7. Bicarbonate (HCO₃⁻): Regulates the body's acid-base (pH) balance and moves carbon dioxide through the bloodstream.

Common dietary sources of electrolytes:

1. Sodium & Chloride: Table salt, other salts (like sea salt, pink Himalayan salt, etc.) pickles, and processed or packaged foods.

2. Potassium: Bananas, avocados, sweet potatoes, spinach, and beans.

3. Magnesium: Leafy greens (spinach, kale), nuts, seeds, and whole grains.

4. Calcium: Milk, yogurt, cheese, and fortified plant-based milk alternatives.

5. Phosphate: Fish, milk, tofu, eggs, legumes, nuts, whole grains

Humans need six essential nutrient groups—including macro and micronutrients—along with specific major and trace minerals to keep the body in balance.

The Six Essential Nutrients

• Water: Regulates body temperature, lubricates joints, and carries nutrients to cells.

• Proteins: Build and repair tissues, muscles, organs, and the immune system.

• Carbohydrates: Provide the body’s main source of daily fuel and energy.

• Fats: Support cell growth, protect organs, produce hormones, and help absorb vitamins.

• Vitamins: Support metabolism, boost immunity, and run vital chemical reactions.

• Minerals: Build strong bones, balance fluids, and support nerve signals.

Key Macrominerals (Needed in Larger Amounts)

• Calcium: Builds strong bones and teeth, and helps muscles and nerves work. Found in dairy, leafy greens, and fortified juices.

• Magnesium: Turns food into energy and supports muscle and nerve health. Found in nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains.

• Potassium: Controls blood pressure and supports fluid balance. Found in fresh fruits, vegetables, and beans.

• Sodium: Maintains fluid balance and keeps nerves firing properly. Found in table salt and various whole foods.

• Phosphorus: Forms strong bones and repairs cells. Found in meat, fish, and dairy.

Key Trace Minerals (Needed in Smaller Amounts)

• Iron: Carries oxygen through the blood via red blood cells. Found in beans, and spinach.

• Zinc: Fights off infections and supports immune health. Found in meat, shellfish, and legumes.

• Copper: Supports brain development and the nervous system. Found in nuts, and whole grains.

• Selenium: Protects cells from damage and supports the thyroid. Found in seafood and whole grains.

You can learn more about daily requirements from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or review general guidance on micronutrients via the CDC Nutrition Overview.
