You’re not lazy.
You’re dysregulated.
And honestly?
This Monday is hitting harder than most.
The weekend is already short enough…
and even though yesterday was a holiday, most people didn’t actually get a real break.
No full reset.
No true “do nothing” day.
Maybe a little Sunday…
but even that was filled with family stuff, obligations, running around.
So now it’s Monday morning and you’re waking up like:
“Why am I already exhausted?”
It’s not a motivation problem.
It’s your nervous system saying:
👉 “We didn’t recover.”
And this hits even harder in midlife.
Hormones shifting.
Sleep not as deep.
Stress lingering longer in your body.
So you try to push through it.
Be productive.
“Get back on track.”
But your body’s like… “yeah…we’re absolutely not doing this today!” 🙄
Because what you actually need isn’t more discipline-
Its regulation.
You need:
💖A slower start (even 10 minutes matters)
💖Movement that supports you, not punishes you
💖Space to come back to yourself before the noise of the day
This is the piece most people skip.
And it’s why they stay stuck.
You’re not behind.
You’re under-recovered.
