Congratulations again to our October Horse of the Month winner, Tonka! 🎉🎃 His rider, Emma, shared a little more about their partnership together:

"Tonka is my late teens Haflinger gelding, whom I purchased as a dressage horse roughly eight years ago. Since then, we have learned that he LOVES jumping far more than dressage! We have competed together in dressage, western dressage, eventing, and the jumpers and have attended the WDAA World Show, USDF Regionals, and the American Eventing Championships! Outside of riding, he even works with me on occasion as my partner for Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions. We have hoped to attend Derby Days for years, but it never worked out. This year the stars aligned, and we were able to attend. It was a wonderful experience! We won a jumper class Saturday and ended up 2nd overall for that division."
