April Recap 🌿

April didn’t look anything like I thought it would…

But in a strange way, it became exactly what I needed.

This month held a lot of heaviness for me—
heartbreak, uncertainty, moments where I felt completely overwhelmed.

But it also held something else…

Slowing down.
Fresh air.
Long walks.
Time in nature.
Time with people who feel like home.

And I think that’s what’s been quietly healing me.

Spring has a way of reminding you that
even after the hardest seasons…
things soften, things grow, things begin again.

I didn’t show up perfectly this month.

Some days I felt strong…
and some days I barely held it together.

But I kept choosing to take care of myself in small ways:
→ getting outside even when my mind felt heavy
→ moving my body without pressure
→ letting myself be supported instead of shutting down

I’m learning that healing doesn’t always look like “pushing harder.”

Sometimes it looks like:
slowing down
breathing deeper
reconnecting
and letting yourself begin again… gently

There’s something about this season that feels like a reset.

And I don’t have everything figured out yet…
but I can feel that I’m rebuilding something really strong underneath it all.

Things don’t change until you do.

And I don’t mean that in a harsh way—
I mean it in an empowering one.

Ashley didn’t need another diet…
she needed a different approach.

When we first started, she felt out of shape, weak, and stuck after years of dieting and under-eating.

Every workout felt frustrating.
The only way she knew to lose weight was to eat less.

Sound familiar?

2025 wasn’t about becoming more.
It was about becoming more honest.

Honest about where I was forcing.
Honest about what no longer fit.
Honest about the cost of trying to out-discipline my own life.

This was the year I:
• rebuilt trust with my body
• redefined consistency
• chose strength over extremes
• learned that alignment creates more momentum than pressure ever did

I rested more.
I questioned old patterns.
I let things fall away.

And instead of setting me back, that space created clarity.

As I look ahead, my word for 2026 is Embodiment.

Not learning more.
Not planning harder.
But actually living what I already know to be true — in my body, my habits, my work, and my relationships.

Less forcing.
More presence.
Less proving.
More integrity.

Here’s to carrying the lessons of 2025 forward…
and fully stepping into them in 2026.

To my 40-something women… here’s your Friday reminder: protect your peace going into the weekend. 🤍

And yes — your weekend can still be fun without slipping into the all-or-nothing mindset.

You don’t have to “be perfect.”

You also don’t have to “start over Monday.”

There’s a whole middle ground where you can enjoy the dinner out, the drinks, the dessert — without abandoning yourself.

Balance isn’t boring.

Moderation isn’t punishment.

It’s just you choosing what actually feels good for your body, energy, and goals.

This season of life is about intention, not extremes.

So go enjoy your weekend — fully, joyfully, and with grace. ✨

When your life shifts, but you’re still operating from an old identity.

Somewhere in your 40s, things quietly start to change.

Your energy.
Your priorities.
Your body.
Your tolerance for burnout.

But no one tells you that the version of you who survived everything in your 20s and 30s… might not be the version of you who will thrive in this season.

Unmotivated.

Disconnected.

You don’t need more discipline.

Most women over 40 think they need more motivation to get consistent again.

But here’s the truth nobody talks about:

Motivation isn’t the starting point… it’s the outcome.
It shows up after you take action, not before.

When you’re stressed, busy, overwhelmed, or pulled in 10 different directions, waiting to “feel ready” is the fastest way to stay stuck.

You don’t need the perfect energy.

You don’t need a 2-hour gap in your schedule.

You definitely don’t need to overhaul your life.

You just need one small step that signals:

“I’m back in motion.”

Because momentum comes from:

✨ A 10-minute walk
✨ A balanced meal
✨ Drinking a full bottle of water
✨ A short strength session
✨ Going to bed 30 minutes earlier

Not perfection. Not pressure.

Just small wins that build confidence again.

So instead of waiting for motivation tonight…

I didn’t start hiking for the views.
I started because I needed a place to breathe again.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know hiking has become one of the most grounding, transformative parts of my life.

But what most people don’t know is why I started hiking.

It wasn’t for the miles…
or the scenery…
or even the exercise.

I started hiking because I needed a place to hear myself again.

A place to come back home to my strength.
A place where I wasn’t rushing, proving, or trying to be everything for everyone.

And somewhere between the quiet trails, the crisp air, and those slow but steady climbs…

I started to feel like me again.

That was the beginning of my glow up.

Not a physical transformation.
Not a diet.
Not a hardcore gym phase.

A remembering.

A remembering of the woman who is:
• strong
• quietly powerful
• connected to her intuition
• worthy of taking up space
• worthy of feeling energized, confident, and aligned
