There are some things you never imagine having to write.
With an incredibly heavy heart, we have to share that Sisu Sauna & Wellness Studio will be closing its doors.
We poured everything we had into bringing this place to life. Every dollar, every hour, every ounce of energy we had went into finishing this space and creating something we believed deeply belonged in this community. Along the way, construction brought challenges and expenses we never could have anticipated, and by the time we opened our doors, we simply didn't have enough left to sustain the business while it found its footing.
We needed more time but unfortunately, time is the one thing we no longer have.
And while there is so much heartbreak in that, there is something else that needs to be said:
Sisu was real and deeply alive because of you.
For the brief time these doors were open, this place became everything we hoped it could be.
We will all remember the conversations in that sauna for the rest of our lives. The laughter. The tears. The people sitting beside strangers and somehow leaving as friends. The first cold plunges. The shaky breaths. The breakthroughs. The quiet moments on yoga mats. The hugs at the front desk. The people who walked through our doors carrying heavy things and, even if only for an hour, set some of them down.
We will remember all of it.
What happened inside these walls was worth something that cannot be measured on a balance sheet.
To every person who walked through our doors, showed up for a class, found a home in our sauna, hopped into a cold plunge, told a friend about us, bought a membership, shared our posts, encouraged us, taught here, helped us build something, or simply believed in what we were trying to create: Thank you.
You gave Sisu a life.
We wish more than anything that we had been given the time to see what it could become. But we will never regret creating it. Because for a little while, there was this beautiful place in Lakeland where people came together to breathe, sweat, laugh, struggle, recover, connect, and remember that they were capable of hard things.
And we got to be there for it.
They will be with us for the rest of our life.

It has been one of the greatest privileges of our life to share it with you.
To find your Sisu is to find strength within ourselves when things become uncertain, uncomfortable, or so incredibly hard to bear. And yet, we find it in ourselves to move forward anyway. One breath and one step at a time.
