Day 4 of 4, MediCipping & VacuTherapies

We discussed surgical prep and recovery.
Joint replacement & mastectomy procedures and complications. Burn & Scar tissue types and the appropriate techniques. Vagus Nerve Techniques.

Today was bitter sweet for our class. We’ve all shared so much while training so close together over the course of these past 4 days. It’s been a very fulfilling experience.

Today we partnered for the last time to practice diaphragm & rib cage release, abdominal strengthening with VacuResistance techniques, magnetics and vacuum therapies for scoliosis, Plantar fasciitis, neck, shoulder, hip and knee issues, breast work for a variety of conditions, and releasing the psoas with VacuTherapies.

The breast work was voluntary. Since I only offer services I deem beneficial I fully participated. I’ve carried a heaviness in one of my breast for many years after breast feeding 3 children but was told it’s nothing to worry about. Today I finally felt some relief after receiving the breast work with VacuTherapy. It will probably take 2-3 more sessions but the Vacuum cupping did in fact reduce the congestion that was causing the feeling of heaviness. Best part, the technique is painless. In fact, it gives a very relieving feeling. With that being said, VacuTherapy offers many benefits for breast tissue I look forward to discussing this topic soon.

With MediCupping in this area we can drain any fluid stagnations, reduce adhesions, and restore the integrity of our tissues. 🌀
While improving the quality of the tissue and mobilization of the ankle helps improve athletic performance, it’s just as helpful to some ladies who prefer to rock the pumps ! 👠 🔥

Anita J. Shannon has been a licensed massage therapist and licensed cosmetologist since 1983. She specializes in skin care, body treatments, clinical aromatherapy, and various modalities of massage therapy. She has been a national educator since 1990, appearing at numerous national spa and massage conventions each year. For four years, Anita appeared as a co-host on the television program “Health Options Today” with Dr. Mitchell Ghen.

Anita is the founder and director of Advanced Continuing Education (ACE), an NCBTMB CE provider established in 2001. Anita has presented hundreds of workshops on ACE Massage Cupping and MediCupping therapy throughout the US and internationally since 2002.

Anita has been published on the subject of cupping therapy in industry publications such as Massage Today, Massage Magazine, and Les Nouvelles Esthetiques. She has published two educational videos on ACE Massage Cupping bodywork, two on MediCupping therapy and one on TheraCupping home care, and is currently writing a book on VacuTherapies.

In 2011, Anita was inducted into the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame.

In 2016, Anita opened ACE Institute Online, an online education portal designed to bring cupping therapy training into the digital age.

Since its debut in 2016, ACE Institute Online has introduced the revolutionary techniques found in ACE Massage Cupping and MediCupping to over ten thousand students worldwide.
