Chemotherapy is one of the most important tools we have in cancer treatment. However, while it targets cancer cells, it can also create significant stress on the rest of the body.

In this video, we explore how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can help support patients undergoing chemotherapy by focusing on recovery, resilience, and quality of life throughout treatment.

You'll learn:
• Why chemotherapy often causes fatigue, digestive issues, and neuropathy
• How TCM views the impact of chemotherapy on the body
• Why supporting the patient is just as important as treating the disease
• The role of acupuncture in reducing inflammation and improving recovery between treatment cycles
• Why "detoxing" during chemotherapy may not always be appropriate
• When herbal medicine may or may not be recommended during treatment
• Which patients may benefit most from TCM support during chemotherapy

We also discuss common symptoms such as nausea, poor appetite, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, fatigue, neuropathy, and immune suppression, and how acupuncture may help support the body's recovery process.

If you or a loved one is going through chemotherapy, understanding how integrative care can work alongside conventional treatment may help improve comfort and overall well-being throughout the journey.

Travel can be stressful on the digestive system.

One of my favorite travel tips? Prioritize protein and fiber.

Protein helps support the body during stress, while fiber helps maintain healthy digestion and stable blood sugar.

I also follow a simple rule:
2 healthy meals, 1 flexible meal.

This keeps most meals nourishing while still leaving room to enjoy local foods and experiences.

Travel should be enjoyable-not a source of digestive chaos.

A little planning can go a long way.

More exercise is not always better.

Sometimes the body tells us we need recovery-not more intensity.

Signs you may be overtraining:
• Waking up tired after sleep
• Irregular or painful periods
• Increased hair loss
• Frequent muscle soreness
• Sudden weight changes

In TCM, excessive exercise can deplete Qi, Blood, and Yin, making recovery more difficult over time.

The goal isn't to push harder.
It's to find the amount of movement your body can recover from and grow stronger with.

Listen to your body. It often tells you what it needs.

The gut and brain are deeply connected.

In TCM, digestion affects far more than the stomach-it also influences:
• Mood
• Sleep
• Energy
• Stress response
• Mental clarity

When digestion becomes weak, you may notice:
• Anxiety
• Brain fog
• Fatigue
• Bloating
• Poor sleep

In Chinese medicine, symptoms are rarely isolated.

The body works as one connected system.

When we support the root imbalance, both the gut and mind often begin to regulate together.

Summer naturally increases heat in the body.

With more sweating, outdoor activity, and heat exposure, we also lose more body fluids-and in TCM, that can contribute to Yin deficiency.

When Yin becomes depleted:
• The body feels more overheated
• Sleep may worsen
• Irritability increases
• Dryness and fatigue can appear

In Chinese medicine, sweat is considered part of Yin and Essence.

Too much depletion without enough replenishment can create imbalance over time.

Summer wellness is not just about staying active-it’s also about restoring and nourishing the body.

Have you ever felt heavy, sluggish, bloated, or mentally foggy—even when you're trying to eat healthy?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), these symptoms may be related to a pattern called Dampness.

In this video, Dr. Wang explains what dampness is, why it develops, and how it relates to modern concepts like gut dysfunction, inflammation, dysbiosis, insulin resistance, and poor metabolism.

In this video, we'll explore:
-What dampness means in Chinese Medicine
-Common symptoms of dampness, including brain fog, fatigue, bloating, and weight gain
-The connection between dampness, digestion, and metabolism
-How stress and Liver Qi stagnation contribute to dampness
-The relationship between gut health, dysbiosis, and dampness
-Why meal timing, sleep, and movement matter
-Simple ways to support digestion and reduce dampness naturally

Whether you are struggling with low energy, digestive issues, chronic inflammation, or stubborn weight gain, understanding dampness may provide a different perspective on your symptoms.

Hormonal health and gut health are deeply connected-especially during menopause.

3 simple ways to support the gut:
• Eat enough fiber
• Support healthy gut flora
• Avoid constipation

Fiber helps the body eliminate excess hormones and supports the microbiome.

Healthy gut flora is built through daily habits too:
• Fermented foods
• Less alcohol
• More whole foods
• Less chemical exposure

And one of the most overlooked things? Motility.

The gut should move regularly and smoothly-not stay stagnant for days.

In TCM, winter is a season for conserving-not overextending.

That’s why intense nighttime workouts are often discouraged, especially during colder months.

At night, the body is meant to slow down, restore, and settle into deeper recovery.

Pushing too hard too late can overstimulate the nervous system and “overdraft” your energy reserves.

Movement is important-but so is rhythm.

Even in spring, when activity naturally increases, balance still matters.

Restless Leg Syndrome is more than “just restless legs.”

It may feel like:
• Tingling
• Crawling sensations
• An uncontrollable urge to move
• Symptoms that worsen at night

From a Functional + TCM perspective, RLS often involves:
• Dopamine imbalance
• Nervous system dysregulation
• Stress and inflammation
• Sleep disruption
• Internal imbalance

In TCM, this pattern is often viewed as Internal Wind and Liver Qi stagnation affecting the nervous system and sleep.

RLS is not just about the legs.
It’s about how the body regulates, nourishes, and calms the nervous system.

When the root imbalance is supported, the body often becomes more settled over time.

TCM skincare is different because we don’t just focus on the skin-we focus on the whole body.

In Chinese medicine, healthy skin starts with:
• Gut health
• Digestion
• Qi flow
• Blood nourishment
• Hormonal balance

When digestion and detoxification are weak, the skin often reflects it.

Especially for women, the balance of Qi and Blood is deeply connected to hormones, menstruation, fertility, and skin health.

Glowing skin is not just about products.
It’s often a reflection of internal balance.
