Hello my wonderful friends with Personal Care hours! If you are in need of a caregiver and need help, I am a professor at Highline College and the majority of our amazing RN students are on summer break. Many of them are looking for part-time work (or even full time in the summer!) and all have completed at least their 1st quarter (there are 6 quarters and some of them are within one quarter of graduating!). Please message me and let me know and I will post the opportunity in our Nursing Community Board, collect their resumes and forward them to you.
ALL of our students have to have completed CNA training, though not all have a CNA license. As an RN student in the state of WA, they DO NOT need to complete their 75 hours training through CDWA, as they are exempt; however, they do need to apply for the license in order to work with you.
Some of our amazing students are international students. They are truly wonderful and with our work study course (330 hours needed by the end of Sept) they are eligible to legally work in the US.
Highline College is located just west of Kent and in Des Moines though we have students from Lynnwood to Pierce County.
I am happy to help you as I know how difficult it is to find amazing and wonderful caregivers. I am not looking for any kind of compensation to help, just willing to connect my incredible students with opportunity to help my incredible friends.
HUGS
