The Presence You Never Left
Most people spend their lives searching for God as though He were hiding behind a mountain, waiting in some distant heaven, or accessible only through special people, sacred buildings, or extraordinary experiences.
Yet the deepest current running through the teachings of Jesus points in another direction.
“I and the Father are one.”
Not separation—union.
“All that the Father has is mine.”
Not scarcity—inheritance.
“The kingdom is within you.”
Not distance—indwelling.
When these truths begin to awaken, the entire spiritual journey changes. Instead of trying to climb toward God, you begin uncovering the Presence that has always been here.
The Divine is not absent.
The Spirit is not delayed.
The Presence is not arriving tomorrow.
It is the very Life breathing this breath.
Every inhale is borrowed from eternity. Every heartbeat is a reminder that Life is being given, not manufactured.
This changes how we see holy ground.
When Moses approached the burning bush, he was told, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
Perhaps the ground was not holy because of the dirt beneath his feet.
Perhaps it became holy because Moses became aware of the Presence already there.
The earth had not changed.
His awareness had.
Every place becomes holy when you awaken to the Presence within it.
Every moment becomes sacred when you recognize that God is not merely watching your life—He is sustaining it.
This is not permission for ego to declare, “I am God.”
It is an invitation for the false self to become quiet enough to discover that your deepest life is rooted in God.
The wave is not the ocean.
Yet it has never been separate from it.
You are not an isolated being trying to reach heaven.
You are a living expression of the Life that has always been flowing through you.
Seeking eventually gives way to seeing.
Running gives way to resting.
Fear gives way to remembrance.
Prayer becomes less about trying to convince a distant God to come near and more about becoming aware of the Presence that has never left.
The kingdom is not waiting at the end of your journey.
It is waiting beneath every thought that tells you you are alone.
You do not carry God from place to place.
You awaken to the One who has been carrying you all along.
