🍎🔥 LET’S MAKE FIRE C***R! 🔥🍎
There’s something about filling a jar with a bunch of ingredients and letting them work their magic!
We had such a great time making Fire C***r at our event earlier this last month. We even had plenty left over to make some for our friends, too!
Fire c***r is a traditional herbal vinegar blend that’s especially popular during the colder months. It’s warming, zesty, spicy, and packed with flavorful herbs, roots, fruits, and spices. Think of it as a little winter wellness kick in a jar! 🔥
🌿 Here’s what I used:
• Peppercorns
• Garlic
• Fresh thyme
• Oregano
• Star anise
• Cloves
• Turmeric
• Fresh ginger root
• Onion
• Jalapeño
• Lemons 🍋
• Oranges 🍊
• Cinnamon sticks
…and there are SO many other things you can add! That’s part of the fun—you can make it your own!
🫙 HOW TO MAKE FIRE C***R
1️⃣ Chop & add your ingredients.
Fill a clean glass jar with your herbs, fruits, vegetables, roots, and spices.
2️⃣ Pour in apple c***r vinegar.
We used apple c***r vinegar with the mother and filled the jar until everything was covered.
3️⃣ Add parchment paper.
Place a piece of parchment paper between the vinegar and the metal lid. This helps protect the lid from the acidic vinegar.
4️⃣ Seal it up & let it infuse!
Give your jar a good shake and store it in a cool, dark place. Let it ferment for 4-6 weeks.
5️⃣ SHAKE IT EVERY DAY! 🫨
Your ingredients will naturally settle toward the bottom, so give your fire c***r a shake every day to keep everything mingling together.
6️⃣ Strain when it’s ready.
Once it has had time to infuse, strain out all of the fruits, veggies, herbs, and spices.
7️⃣ Bottle it & refrigerate. ❄️
I recommend pouring your strained fire c***r back into a clean jar or bottle and keeping it in the refrigerator.
🍯 HOW TO ENJOY IT
Fire c***r can have a pretty strong kick! 🔥 Many people like to add a little honey to mellow the flavor and add some sweetness.
🥗 Turn it into a vinaigrette! It makes a delicious, zesty addition to a salad dressing.
