Define Progress: Rethinking the Word “Cheat” in Yoga

I hear many students and teachers not to “cheat” when practicing specific yoga positions. Even though it’s good to teach students that yoga isn’t a sport to win, I do wonder if “cheat” is the best word to use?

I rarely post anything about my personal life, but yesterday was my 25th wedding anniversary, and I wanted to share the momentous occasion with you!

Many of you don’t know how important my husband is to the Unnata organization. He helps me in almost all aspects of running the business side, he usually travels with me when I teach, and he keeps me grounded when all the yoga I do momentarily stops working. 😂 (Hey, it can happen to the best of us!)

Happy anniversary, Honey! Let’s go for another 25. 🥰

As a child, getting “disciplined” meant receiving punishment. But as an adult, I’ve changed my attitude. It takes persistence to achieve any challenging goal. And, discipline is the fuel for persistence.

Nowadays, discipline is a positive. 👍
