3 Common Retinoid mistakes according to Zac Hill | Licensed Medical Esthetician
✨ Using too much: More retinoid doesn’t mean faster results. A pea sized amount for the entire face is typically enough. Using too much can increase dryness, peeling, and irritation.
✨ Starting too frequently: Jumping straight into nightly use can overwhelm the skin. Starting around 2–3 nights per week and gradually increasing frequency can help the skin adjust.
✨ Skipping sunscreen: Retinoids are part of a long-term skin health routine, but daily broad spectrum SPF 35+ is essential to protect the skin from UV damage and support your results.
