The Beautiful Elephant Garlic blooms are opening !
Love the little wee folks hats they have as they expand .

These fresh flower heads preserve well and last for years . Can be painted once well dried. They are purple now then eventually beige .
The next days will have flowers as seen and up the size of large orange .

This year !
2026 Dig your own Organic Elephant Garlic .

The digging of the organic Elephant Garlic is not far away . Coming at end of June but date can vary a bit with soil moisture level and plant readiness. This season weather has been odd and it will adjust harvest timing .

Back in the winter I severely pulled multiple muscles in a ice fall and while improving. Digging thousands of garlic by hand and leg is a BIG job . So I have decided to ask for help with selling this year crop by offering dig your own at a savings !

This includes teaching decade of experience on how to dig , cure , and preserve to have Elephant Garlic into next Spring . Including brief planting instructions for Fall 2026 .

Elephant Garlic is not a true garlic but is a member of the leek family. Which makes it milder and divine .
When fresh and Green it is pungent and wonderful but once cured properly it brings a wonder sweet flavor and can even be substituted for onions .

Digging is by Appointment time only and for a hour time slot for first Dozen .
Plan on one hour for the 12 and instructions. If you want to dig more ,discuss amount to figure time .
We are Closed Sundays.

There is a limit of 2 at a time to dig . All children must be supervised.

Sign in at Cottage ,then you will get hands on instructions on the tender approach to Digging BIG Elephant GARLIC .

Cost is $30 for 12 medium to large heads .
Additional heads are $3 each.
To be fair in available size range to all digging in seperate appointments. . There is limit of digging of 20 extra bulbs over what you buy .

Cash only .

The time window for digging is approximately 10 to 15 days. After the self dig ,all Garlic price increases to retail once cured . Don't miss out on this organic experience.

Please DO NOT bring your dogs .
Please Bring your own gloves , old shoes, safety or sunglasses of desired. Expect to get dirty .

If you don't have I am building back muscle strength and digging just a bit as warm up to the large bulbs in weeks ahead. So have limited amount.
I used dash of Italian Arrabbiata instead of single herb .

Our path here has always been one of obedience to creator to best of ability.

This spring ,the native nursery sales were paused in NECESSITY.

This place doesn't have lots young backs and it's myself at 64 and husband at 69 doing the physical .. He still works another day job part time.

I took a hard ice fall and it's taken longer to bounce back. It was a synergetic event with old releasing fascia adhesions. Basically a reset .
So The required strength of how shrubs and trees are sold , was more risk then I could take.

Like millions ,
I have Very high medical deductible and healing this body which is the temple here on earth , is priority.
The low cost of which we have sold our items ,to help our fellow earth lovers plant is part of.

Having worked with the holistic and alternative healing path for over 30 years .I have many tools . .But aging can just require longer .

Besides the Nursery , The other work as spring began ,in caring for land and home and other work.
Along With the digging of thousand by hand of our organically grown elephant Garlic coming in July .

I am improving and continuing to pray and listen to creator guidance in what this physical and spiritual temple body will do, with what the spiritual center of EarthSong is.

This morning ,I was guided to finally share here.
