September 5 is the International Day of Charity. We invite you to support the Help Hope Live Compassion Fund, created in partnership with Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center - https://helphopelive.org/campaign/21221/

Your contribution - no matter the size - truly matters. When our community comes together, even the smallest gifts add up to create life-changing opportunities for veterans, first responders, and neighbors across Bucks County and beyond who are struggling with serious health challenges.

HBOT can be transformative for individuals living with traumatic brain injury, PTSD, long COVID, autism spectrum disorders, and many other conditions. At Oxygen Oasis, we see healing stories unfold every single day. We witness patients regain abilities, hope, and quality of life thanks to access to hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Yet because HBOT is often not covered by traditional insurance, many people are unable to access the care they desperately need. Every donation helps bridge that gap.

Help Hope Live - a trusted 501(c)(3) nonprofit with nearly 40 years of experience easing the financial burden of medical care - created the HBOT Compassion Fund to make this possible. With your support, more individuals will be able to receive essential treatment and take meaningful steps toward recovery.

Lori Lubiani, from Duluth, Minnesota, underwent four separate surgeries on her left foot, and at one point, her injury became septic. A foot injury left her unable to walk for several years. Throughout this time, Lori's health continued to decline dramatically. "I ended up having breast cancer and heart attacks. I had a couple of heart attacks," Lubiani told Fox21.

Health complications slowed down her foot’s healing even more, and despite regular doctors' visits, traditional therapies were not working. However, Lubiani stayed determined to get back on her feet and was referred to Aspirius-St. Luke's Hospital to try Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

Now Labiani can walk again, completing 40 90-minute sessions over the course of 2 months. "I am very happy. It's one of the best things in my life", Labiani shared with Fox21. A two-time breast cancer survivor who overcame heart disease while managing her diabetes, Labiani is finally experiencing relief and health improvement after several years of living in pain.

More HBOT isn’t automatically better! Patients sometimes assume that if 20 treatments are beneficial, 40 or 60 must be even better. HBOT doesn’t necessarily work that way.

If measurable improvement occurred earlier in the treatment course but has leveled off despite additional sessions, the treating medical team may determine that the patient has reached maximum benefit from the current course.

A well-run hyperbaric program should never be focused on selling more treatments. The goal should be to provide the appropriate treatment to the appropriate patient for the appropriate amount of time.

Not all HBOT providers offer the same level of expertise, equipment, or medical oversight.
Before beginning treatment, consider asking:

❔Do you use medical-grade hard-shell hyperbaric chambers?
These are the chambers used in the clinical evidence supporting FDA-cleared HBOT indications and much of the published medical literature.

❔Is your program supervised by a Medical Director trained in hyperbaric medicine?
Specialized physician oversight supports appropriate patient evaluation, treatment planning, and medical safety.

❔Are treatments administered by Certified Hyperbaric Technologists (CHTs)?
Certified technologists receive specialized education and training in the safe delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

❔Do you have a dedicated Hyperbaric Safety Director?
A Safety Director oversees safety policies, emergency preparedness, staff competency, equipment maintenance, and continuous quality improvement.

❔Is your facility Joint Commission accredited?
Accreditation reflects a commitment to nationally recognized healthcare quality and patient safety standards.

❔Do you develop individualized treatment plans?
Every patient has unique medical needs that deserve personalized evaluation and care.

If you’re considering hyperbaric oxygen therapy, we invite you to schedule a consultation with our experienced team. We’ll answer your questions, review your medical history, and help determine whether HBOT may be appropriate for your individual needs.

Think of HBOT like physical therapy or going to the gym. One workout won’t transform your health, but a consistent routine creates lasting change.

Each HBOT session contributes to ongoing healing by supporting processes such as:
💠 Improved oxygen delivery to damaged tissues
💠 New blood vessel formation (angiogenesis)
💠 Reduced inflammation
💠 Enhanced collagen production
💠 Support for the body’s natural repair mechanisms

Missing treatments or spacing them too far apart may interrupt this momentum, potentially slowing your progress.

At Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center, we’re committed to helping every patient stay on track with a personalized treatment schedule designed to maximize results. Consistency today may lead to better healing tomorrow.

Healing Is a Process, Not a Single Treatment When beginning hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), many patients naturally wonder how quickly they’ll notice results. While some experience improvements after only a few sessions, the greatest benefits often come from completing a consistent treatment...

Today, we recognize Juneteenth, the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were finally informed of their freedom.

We reflect not only on the history of this day but also on the ongoing fight for equity in health care. According to the Office of Minority Health, part of the Department of Health and Human Services, Black Americans are generally at higher risk for heart diseases, stroke, cancer, asthma, influenza, pneumonia, and diabetes, among many other health issues.

We want to take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to inclusive and compassionate care. At Oxygen Oasis, we believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to receive high-quality medical services and live a healthy, full life.

Phil Amato, a reporter for Action News Jax, shares his experience with sudden hearing loss (SSHL) and a recovery through Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy:

"I’ve spent decades telling other people’s stories on television. This time, the story became my own. On January 29, 2026, I was driving home listening to the radio when something suddenly changed. By the time I pulled into my driveway, I realized I had lost much of the hearing in my right ear. Sounds became muffled. Voices didn’t sound normal ... I went through hearing tests that showed severe hearing loss in my right ear along with almost no word clarity. For someone who works in television and communication, the diagnosis was terrifying."

"Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or HBOT, is also increasingly being used alongside steroids. During the treatment, patients breathe pure oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. Specialists say the increased oxygen levels may help deliver more oxygen-rich blood to the damaged inner ear structures, potentially helping sensitive hearing cells recover. I documented every part of it — from lying inside the oxygen chamber to sitting in a doctor’s office receiving injections in my ear."

"This experience changed me personally and professionally. It also left me with one important message for others: if your hearing suddenly changes, don’t ignore it. Don’t assume it’s earwax. Don’t wait a week hoping it clears up. Be your own advocate. Because when silence strikes suddenly, every hour matters."
