Today, we honor and celebrate Juneteenth: a day that commemorates freedom, resilience and the enduring pursuit of equality.

Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved African Americans in the United States learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It is a reminder of both how far we have come and the work that remains in creating a more just and equitable world.

At The Nesting Spot, we believe that every individual and every family deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. We are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community where all people feel seen, supported and valued.

Today, we encourage our community to take time to learn, reflect, celebrate Black culture and achievements, and engage in meaningful conversations about equity and belonging.
