The finale of Precious’ 25th Birthday Celebration 💜🦋

What a beautiful month-long celebration of life, love, community, and joy for our Precious. We are beyond grateful to everyone who helped make every moment so special.

A heartfelt thank you to DSAH for allowing us to celebrate with some of Precious’ peers at the Pursuit Center. Thank you to Gigi’s Playhouse Sugar Land for welcoming us after her Achievers class and allowing us to donate Raising Cane’s and cupcakes to share with her friends. From laughter and dancing during dance hour to unforgettable smiles, it was truly a joyful experience.

We also celebrated Precious with a butterfly release in honor of her beautiful life journey, followed by a crawfish boil surrounded by family and friends who continue to love and support her.

To end this incredible birthday month, we are so excited to also celebrate the publishing of our article highlighting this special occasion and the impact of community, inclusion, and love.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated, supported, and shared in Precious’ joy this month. Every memory will be cherished forever. 🦋💜

As We Close Out Precious’ Birthday Month Celebration… 💙💛🩷

This month was about celebrating Precious.
Her life.
Her journey.
Her resilience.
Her joy.
Her impact.

Some days we laughed.
Some days we reflected.
Some days we educated.
And some days we simply celebrated that she is HERE.

Precious turning 25 means so much to us.

After her Moyamoya diagnosis in 2019, multiple mini strokes, and emergency brain surgery, we never take life, joy, community, advocacy, visibility, or representation for granted.

This month was also about highlighting how far the disability community has come through advocacy, inclusion, healthcare advancements, representation, education, and opportunity.

So throughout the remainder of today, we will be sharing posts centered around three topics that are deeply personal to our family:

💙 People First Language
💛 Moyamoya Awareness
🩷 Why Representation Matters

We also honor and appreciate the organizations, advocates, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and communities continuing to create visibility, support, inclusion, advocacy, opportunities, and meaningful community connections for individuals with Down syndrome and other disabilities.

The mission continues.
The impact grows.
And yes… WE MADE IT TO 25. 🎉

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a time to reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who gave everything for their country. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Olantha shared some of her story as both a mom to a child with Down Syndrome and an Advocate & Homecare CEO serving the community. She shares her insight on what it’s like to connect to services and resources; sharing the challenges of filing for disability. The episode also features an attorney who gives tips on exactly how to do that.
