Congrats to Ellie for being awarded student of the month for thoughtfulness. Her teacher wanted to keep it a surprise so I told her there would be a student awarded for thoughtfulness, and she said touched her foreheads and said “well mommy I have lots of good thoughts - I think it will be me.” :) yes, yes you do, Ellie!

Congrats to my dad on his well deserved retirement after 43 years (!) as an anesthesiologist at UCLA, serving patients (where rumor has it he sang to them to wake them up) and training and mentoring countless residents; a beloved colleague and doctor to so many over the years, who worked so hard in such a purposeful profession with humility and skill. So very proud, and love his bruin bear plaque :)

Awesome half marathon in beautiful Solvang! Lots of rolling hills (and some significant winding uphills in the heat) and extra special to run with my dear friend Annie - we started running together at age 18 as freshmen at UC Berkeley and amazing to still be able to run together, now with our kids cheering us on! While given the heat, my main goal was safety over time wes also happy to be sub 10 min miles, thanks to training with 🩷🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

One of my favorite parts of lanai is the simplicity of life here - things move to the slow beat of island life - not much to do but tons of stunning nature to enjoy. Will dearly miss this horse ranch - part of my daily run and a frequent family sunset watching spot
