Not every request should be fulfilled. That’s where true mastery and ethics come in.
This client came in wanting a fully saturated black eyelid with a white border. While it may sound bold and editorial, the reality is that this type of work does not age predictably in the skin, especially in such a delicate area. The eyelid is thin, highly vascular, and prone to migration, blurring, and uneven healing over time. White pigment heals yellow or gray and is difficult to remove.
My role as a PMU artist isn’t to execute every request, but to do work that heals safely and think about YOUR future.
Instead, I created a refined eyeliner that enhances her natural eye shape, heals beautifully, and maintains its integrity long-term. No white pigment, no over-saturation.
Permanent makeup is not about saying “yes” to everything. It’s about knowing when to say no in order to protect the result, the skin, and the client’s future self.
Be careful of PMU Techs that will do whatever you ask them. Too many people end up in my chair to fix what is hard to undo.
