What a weekend! The Enneagram Las Vegas Community Gathering was a huge success.
I’m part of the team, and it was so rewarding to see months of planning come to life—great presenters, meaningful conversations, and an engaged group of people who genuinely showed up to learn and grow.
The session that was personally the most impactful for me was our breakout by Enneagram type. As a Type Six, it was awesome connecting with others who truly get the constant mental buzz, responsibility, and drive to stay prepared.
My biggest takeaway? Every single Six in that group said they work out at least five days a week—and if they don’t, they feel like a completely different person.
That one hit home. I’ve had a YogaSix membership since summer and, truthfully, this was only my second time going since July. Like a true Six, I’ve been telling myself I don’t have enough time because I’m “too busy.”
After this weekend, I decided to change that story. I booked a class last night and went today—and wow.
I’ve done yoga plenty of times before, but this was the reminder I needed. I was so focused that it completely overrode my usual self-negotiation about why I “don’t have time.”
I’m someone who loves thinking, analyzing, and brainstorming (probably a little too much), but moving my body gave me a kind of clarity that thinking doesn’t. I had some of my best aha moments during class. It felt good to sweat, to feel my muscles working, and to walk out with my head clear and my focus back.
I don’t usually take photos of myself like this (especially after being a sweaty mess 😅), but I feel too good not to share it. Sweaty photo or not, I’m proud of myself for following through—and I wanted to share this in case it helps my fellow Enneagram Sixes (and anyone else who tends to overthink) remember that sometimes the best way to calm your mind is to move your body.
